Our Support Staff

Our doctors rely on our trained support staff to ensure that the hospital runs smoothly, and all patients are seen and treated in a timely manner. Each staff member plays an important role in your pet’s care.

Our Customer Service Staff

Our receptionists will assist you in scheduling your pet’s visits at a convenient time, relaying information between you and the doctor, and informing you when wellness visits or vaccinations are due. They are also a good source of information regarding pet care in general; often our receptionists can answer questions regarding flea and tick preventatives, heartworm testing, vaccination schedules, etc. Please feel free to ask them questions: if they don’t know the answer, they will be happy to find it for you!

Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants

Our technicians are graduates of an accredited veterinary technician program, and licensed in New York State. They are responsible for educating our clients on both preventative medications and vaccinations, as well as explaining your pet’s treatment plan while ill or hospitalized. Our technicians routinely draw blood samples, perform lab tests, place IV catheters, and perform treatments on our hospitalized patients. They are also fully trained in monitoring your pet during anesthesia and surgery. While the veterinarian is always in charge of your pet’s care, often our technicians have the most interaction with your hospitalized pet, much like their human counterparts, registered nurses.
